What can I do today?

I had a bit of a “revelation reflection” a few days ago.

As mentioned in my last post, I have been struggling with understanding where I am now and how it relates to my future.

I kept finding myself stuck when I try to look at where I should be and not where I am now.

So, I wrote down “What CAN I do today?” at the top of my journal.

I realized that is all I really can control – NOW.

I can work today, within my time constraints of the day, on the things that will help me be better.

Whether it is physically, mentally, socially, or in another area of life, I write down an action I can take today and then what category it falls under.

Being able to visually see today’s progress makes me feel a lot better about where I am.

We are always seeking to improve, never settling.

I am always seeing how I can be better.

Each day, all I can do is try my best.

Two things reign true in my life and always have:

  1. I sincerely always try my best, even on a day when I’m not feeling 100%.
  2. I am not a quitter.

Knowing these pieces of myself, I want to take my constant search for progress and my best efforts and channel them into the actions of today.

If I can be better today, I can be better down the road.

I am not at the end of the road yet – I am supposed to learn and grow.

That learning and growth exists each and every day.

What CAN I do today?

I can do it.
