Integrity is integral to growth.

When I was younger, I remember a poster in my school classroom with a quote about the value of integrity.

It was describing how integrity stands as “what you do when no one is watching.”

I also view integrity as valuing your actions.

• When we make choices to do something, are we proud of what we do?

• Do we feel that the actions we perform each day are leading towards growth?

When we reflect and find the answer is no, then we aren’t doing ourselves or others a favor.

There are many factors that go into decision-making, but the impact of a decision is always felt.

The funny thing is, we don’t usually think that our decision will matter that much in the grand scheme of things.

However, it’s all like building blocks.

Once you build a foundation through action, what comes after that will continue to build.

Eventually, that build will either collapse based on that foundation or it will thrive based on what you build.

Sometimes we even know before our building is complete that it won’t last with the foundation we have built.

We know what it takes to get to our next steps.

Letting our habits be ones of growth and structure is important.

Our brains function strongly on that memory and repetition.

Once something is engraved negatively, it is extremely hard to break it.

But, if we can make those cycles built on strength and growth, we can do so many incredible things.

My hope is that the building blocks I create are built on a strong foundation.

Helping myself and others grow.
