Requirements.

When we look at our goals, we often think that something is “required” in order for our goals to come true.

When we require ourselves to HAVE to do something, that creates a lot of pressure.

Unnecessary pressure.

Unnecessary pressure is something we never want, especially when we do it to ourselves.

I have had to learn to this.

I have learned the importance of not stressing yourself out when you have control.

When we have some control over something, we start to stress to find our need.

“What do I need to do?”

“What does this control require?”

“Can I do what this is?”

Once we get in the spinning wheel of questions, that’s when the pressure comes.

We don’t think we know the right answers.

And oftentimes, we don’t.

The beautiful thing is we don’t have to have the right answers.

We just need to try our best.

That sentence has helped me more than almost any statement.

“I tried my best.”

Those four words propel me to keep going no matter how good or bad something turned out.

The pressure isn’t there – just sympathy in action.

That’s what we need to do with our goals.

We know what we want to accomplish!

Once we step onto the road towards the goal, we need to fill our minds with consistent action and sympathy, not stress and pressure.

Easier said than done, but I’m trying my best.

I hope you do, too.
