We are always seeking for ways that we can help the world around us.
Many of us are considered “people pleasers” where we are searching how we can use our skillsets to satisfy the needs of others.
No matter what, we all feel good when we can help someone.
Whether that is through work, through a relationship, through a hobby, through family, etc.
One thing that I sometimes catch myself doing is committing to everything except myself.
I will see myself invested in everyone else and working for everyone else that I miss out on time to work on myself.
Thankfully, you can do both, too.
The best way I practice this type of commitment to growing myself is writing it down (shocker).
I just take time in the morning to write down what I want to work on… where I want to grow… how I can be better.
With that in mind as I start my day, I can use those pieces as I am working on my work, my schooling, my relationship, my family, etc.
It is a gelling that can’t happen without awareness and action.
It is really difficult in life to continue to give while running on a tank that is empty.
Make sure you’re committed to fulfilling yourself so that you can be the best you can be when it comes time to fulfill others with your skills and gifts.
We are important, so let’s take care of ourselves.
Commit to you.
