On a surprisingly snowy day in Kansas City, I am working on typical tasks in front of me today: Work, school, etc.
And as I maneuver through those things, I do this thing called “worry” about the tasks ahead.
Crazy, right?
It’s amazing how often we worry and stress about tasks that are very familiar to us.
Why?
We create an expectation for ourselves and our work before we even do it.
We tell ourselves “it has to be done THIS way” and that “it has to be done right at THIS time”.
This makes our room for error basically non-existent.
What I’ve found is not to limit myself.
I want to have expectations – a goal to aim for.
At the same time, I have to realize there is more than one way, one time, to get somewhere.
I will make it eventually and however I make it – I’ve done it before and I can do it again.
It’s important to take a moment amidst these tasks of life to tell yourself this – take a moment to take it easy, especially when the task is not so easy.
It’s a simple set of words today – don’t limit yourself, you can do this, and take a moment to take it easy.
