How are you?

I ask myself the simple question this morning of “How are you?”

I feel like I don’t do this enough.

We as humans don’t do this enough.

I find myself, more often, framing that question in a different way.

  • How is life affecting me?
  • How do I feel about ____?
  • What am I doing about ___?

All of those answers reflect how I am doing (in a general sense).

I know that my emotions in a specific moment can dictate “how I am doing”, but no matter what emotion I am feeling in a moment, I always know how I am doing.

So, how am I?

I’m…

good.

I can generally say I’m doing well – many pieces of my life feel aligned, I am in a good mindset as I approach life and its moments, and I am making proper progress on goals that I hold.

How do I make sure I stay aligned – progressing – positive – confident?

For me, I take a few stances:

  • Ask questions.
  • Listen.
  • Embrace life and every situation.
  • Learn.
  • Accept.
  • Stay motivated.
  • Keep your arms open.
  • Smile.

Those things (among others) keep me rooted in the right slot as I maneuver through my day.

I can surely answer the question of “How are you?” with “Good.”

Ask yourself how you are doing.

I hope we can all answer “good”.

If not, I hope that by keeping some of these things in mind:

  • Ask questions.
  • Listen.
  • Embrace life and every situation.
  • Learn.
  • Accept.
  • Stay motivated.
  • Keep your arms open.
  • Smile.

We all can be doing a little more “good.”

Also, a quick update for my blog:

Starting June 1st, I will be posting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of every week.

I am looking forward to posting more and interacting with all of you.

Stay safe and blessed.
