As our day tends to flow, there are many obstacles we face.
The world will always throw something at you that you aren’t ready for.
It comes in all shapes and sizes, but each day has obstacles.
I’ve learned, over time, that each obstacle that shows up is just another part of life.
I used to focus a lot on not wanting to trip up while getting through those obstacles.
I have realized that the obstacles are there to make me stronger, not to trip me up and make me weak.
When I do trip, I remember that I’ve tripped many times.
It’s not fun, but it happens.
So, you get up and get through the obstacle and keep going.
You learn a lot by getting up and pushing through.
I saw a quote the other day from Steve Harvey, saying “If you’re going through hell, keep going. Why would you stop in hell?”
Each time life throws an obstacle at me, I am reminded of this mindset.
I want to approach every obstacle with the mindset that I am going to get through it and that what’s on the other side of the obstacle is always better.
It’s fairly straight-forward, but it is real and true motivation.
Life is hard sometimes, but we are stronger.
Life hasn’t thrown an obstacle at me yet today, but when it does, I’ll be ready to take it on.
So no matter what life throws at you today, don’t trip up on the fear of tripping.
Push through the obstacle and continue to grow towards the best “you”.

Good Morning, Before I head off to church here are a couple thots for you, finally getting to this from my whirlwind week of health interruption so winston churchill coined the phrase – ” if you are going thru hell = keep going ” many have spun off from it including a country song from rodney atkins – an old irish toast = ” May you be in heaven 5 minutes before the devil knows your there ”
its a pretty snappy tune not sappy like you would think
here is one of my favorite verses on perseverance Romans 5:3-5 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
I have struggled so many times from childhood trying to understand my position with sports, coaches, convictions, choices, girls breaking my heart, struggles with bosses, struggles with finances, parents that didnt support me and shamed me, health issues, divorce, its been a plethora of sufferings that have molded who I am. I didnt get to pick them, i didnt get to see them coming, i wasnt able to plan for them i had to move with them on the fly. When those things hit you better be grounded/rooted because satan will beat u when you are down with everything he has. I have hurt deeply but im still here and still fighting, I want that for you nelson, there is never so dark a place to give up because the lord is working on YOU and your value added for HIS kingdom. It sucks every time it happens, you are spinning and grasping for something to stop the pain. Just remember he was well aware of what was coming and your pain even when you dont know what to do. Just call out with your fears hurts anxieties, he already knows but he loves to hear from us. He is the best dad you could ever have – I wish I was better but I have to remember God is also using me to be a part of your learning and changing. I sometimes have to make decisions that are so hard and hurtful for me but in your best interest. I love you Nelson, I wish I knew all the answers, I wish we didnt have to struggle but one things for sure we will do it together and love each other thru whatever comes our way. We are Searcy Strong!!! I hope the Games are good today Dad
