Who I am now is nowhere near where I was yesterday, last year, or 10 years ago.
I’ve learned.
I’ve failed.
I’ve succeeded.
I’ve experienced.
I’ve done a lot in my lifetime, and I know the learning never stops.
When I think about what is ahead for me, I continuously think about how hard something might be, how different it might be, or how unprepared I feel.
I don’t want fear to be my future, but I also want to be able to control what I can control.
Life will always bring challenges and tasks.
All that life has brought me so far, I have gotten through.
Some were harder than others, but I am here.
And I am better and different because of it!
I have taken away something different from each experience.
Not only can I use those experiences to help me going forward, I know that I will get through each experience.
I might not always end up where I want to be, but I will get through it.
When an opportunity comes, I want to jump on it.
Many will come, and all are welcome.
As I look forward, I realize how I can never be fully prepared for what’s next.
I want to be prepared, and I want it to be easy, but you can’t always get what you want.
Going forward, I know that each opportunity is in front of me for a reason and I will take each with a grain of salt.
The best self-preparation for each opportunity is the following:
- Accept whatever comes with the opportunity.
- Put your best foot forward.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
- Smile and be open.
- Pray and breathe.
- Love the grind and the learning.
- Remind yourself that you’ll get through it.
Experience is valuable, but reminders are powerful.
Take it one step at a time, and we will all be okay.
Opportunity is always knocking, so let’s open each door as it comes.
