I find a lot of “motivated milestones” when I dig deeper into reflection.
I get excited about things that I begin to understand in my life and want to immediately apply all of them!
Just immediately be a “new” person.
However, I know it doesn’t work like that.
I know tomorrow I will wake up with the same insecurities, concerns, etc. as I had 6-8 hours previous right before I went to bed.
However, I can work on those things tomorrow.
Instead of sitting still and letting those worries brew, I want to take action and let my strengths come through.
- Faith: I want to pray consistently and grow with God as He helps me walk through life together.
- Friends and Family: I want to stay connected and open with my support system as I work to grow in these areas.
- Health: I want to focus on my physical, my mental, my meaning. The confident areas, the insecure areas, all of it.
- Counseling: I want to get the most out of my professional health sessions to help me find what works best for me beyond the knowledge I have of self. I want to be open and safe.
So, I will do so.
I like to mark dates in my journal and/or calendar that are “reference reflections”.
Dates I can turn to my notes to understand what I learned on that date and why it is important to me.
I hope that 6/4/2023 is a good date to reflect on, because it sure feels like I learned a lot tonight, even if it didn’t seem like it in the moment!
And who knows – maybe 6/5/2023 will go down in the books, too.
I know one thing is for sure – the learning from today will help me grow tomorrow.

At my age Nelson I still learn. Not every day but we’re never to young to learn. I just have trouble remembering what I learn . Lol
