Battle of the Bubble.

It’s hard for me to give notifications.

There are days that you just don’t want to open up.

There are moments you sit in reflection and want to stay there.

It’s often easiest to keep it all in.

You don’t have to share if you don’t want to.

However, the “bottling up” of the emotions and thoughts becomes unhealthy at a certain point – bound to burst.

So, instead of bursting the bubble, we should at least send a bubble.

Send a text, a phone call, an email.

At least let them know you are working through something and need some time.

Whether that is time to reflect, time to cry, time to work, time to play…

We owe no one an explanation as to why we need what we need.

However, those who care about us and are active in our lives deserve to get at least a bubble of communication.

It has been hard to learn that.

To me, it is not selfishness or disrespect.

It’s pain and emotion… in action.

Or lack thereof.

It’s hard to get up and go when you are held down by some thoughts, some emotions, some trials, stresses, work, etc.

Life throws nothing but fastballs followed by curveballs.

So when one heads offline and hits us, it’s time for a bubble.

Reflect as long as you need. Sit as long as you need.

Just know that sharing the bubble may help satisfy a need of your support system.

After all, people do care about you, you know.
