365 days of blogging.

One year ago, I began on a new journey with this site that I thought would just be a little journal for me to dabble and doodle in.

As I sit here today, on January 31st, 2019, I can say that this blog has been far more significant than I ever could have imagined.

This site has been full of emotions, discussions, anger, reflection, confusion, joy, happiness, patience, and life.

I can only be grateful for what this site has given me.

It has given me opportunity after opportunity to share my thoughts, reveal my passions for writing, and to be completely open and therapeutically release my thoughts and feelings.

The biggest takeaways I have from the past 365 days of blogging:

  • Don’t be afraid to speak your mind. At the end of the day, you are trying to do things to help yourself be better each and every day. Through this resource, I can be open with the world about my thoughts and feelings and readers can interpret the content however they may like. This site helps me release my mind and I will never take for granted my ability to be open and free on this site.
  • Use it wisely. I want this site to be a place where myself and others can go through to look at the ideas and reminders that are offered. I want to make sure that although I do express frustration and negatives, I cap everything with a look toward better days and how to get there.
  • Enjoy the ride. My blog is going to remain full of emotion and vulnerability, but I am learning more and more about myself and the world each time I write. I love to learn, I love to think, I love to reflect, and I love to write. This site allows me to do all of that and I want to always remember that this site is a positive resource that I hope improves my life and the lives of others.

I hope that all of those who have checked out my blog over the past year have seen me grow and learn.

I also hope that some of my readers have learned a few things themselves that have helped them get through something.

Going forward, I want to continue to express my thoughts and feelings for the pure purpose of improvement.

I want to be better.

I want others to be better.

I want the world to be better.

I am only one person, but one person can make a big impact.

I feel as if this is one of many ways for me to do that.

Here’s to the next 365 days of growth, learning, reflection…

And being better.

“Never let it rest… until your good is better, and your better is best.”
